Boncore
Boncore is in province of Lecce and part of Nardò. This little holiday village,
very near the seaside resort of Torre Lapillo, is about 20 Km away from
Nardò.
The downtown developped with the land reform in 1950, when a lot of farmlands
had been expropriated and allocated to farmers who remained there. The forfeit
of the lands came with a protest of millions of farmers coming from all
the neighbouring countries, such as Nardò, Carmiano, Leverano and Veglie.
Today it is a residential centre in big real-estate growth, thanks to the
strategic position where there are interests connected between the sea (at
about 500 Mt) and the rural area, where it is easy to buy
an apartment for your holiday and where the owners from many years propose
again to restore the buildings of the ex Land Reform (Farms, Colonial House
and archaeological places) creating especially activities of turistical
interest, also thanks to the structuralinvolvement from the Town Counci
of Nardo'.
